Tattooing professionally at Funhouse Tattooing in Tannersville, PA since 2001, Josh grew up fully engrossed in comic books, fantasy art, sci-fi movies, music and television. His imagination was inspired by the stories, the visuals and the characters he read of, hear about and saw on the screen. Drawn to the art of painters like Frazetta, Hildebrandt and Vargas as well as illustrators of his favorite comic books, art was an important part of his life. He spent countless hours as a teen reading tattoo magazines and being drawn to the tattoo culture which seemed at the time to be shifting towards artists pushing the boundaries of the craft in ways never seen or heard of before and Josh was completely hooked. Starting out in the graphic and digital arts field, Bodwell found that industry to be personally limiting and left that career path to find tattooing to be the perfect outlet for his creativity. At a real pivotal point in his life, Josh was given the opportunity to apprentice at Funhouse Tattooing in Tannersville, PA.. The shop, focusing on custom work and a positive welcoming attitude attracting clientele of all walks of life, was an instant fit. Honing his skills over the years in all aspects of tattooing, from fine line to black & grey, traditional to color realism, Josh's focused most of energy on making clients custom tattoo dreams a reality. When given the opportunity, He enjoys more then anything to tattoo all things Pop Culture, Star Wars, Sci-Fi, Comic book and Movie characters, basicaly any nerdy stuff!
